Ravelry has joined the Olympics! It's chock full of knitting events. So, after reading the rules I did it, I dug through my hibernating projects and entered.
Ravelrympics has teams, events and the knitting began (or in my event, restarted) during the Opening Ceremonies. This is the most fun I've had in a virtual knitting group. We have a Global Village, a Team Thread, and then there's the Podium. I hope to join my teammates who have already won some gold soon.
I'm only in one event (WIPs Wrestling), but have 5 "heats": A sweater, a shawl, a baby jacket, a stash bag and a big old felted bag. Will I make it? My teammates sure hope so! I feel good, fit, and even took one day off from knitting.
Now I'm off to knit some. Tomorrow's Blog will be on Heat One: The Slouchy Top from Knit101 Spring/Summer 2008.
Keep those needles clicking!
